Each semester the University identifies those students that appear to be in jeopardy of going on Academic Probation. These students are students on Academic Warning. Academic Warning students are identified as students who have received a semester grade point average of less than a 2.0, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of a 2.0 or higher.
If you have received an Academic Probation Warning Newsletter, you have been identified as a student on Academic Warning. You should consider this newsletter as your personal warning that you are at risk of going on academic probation. The newsletter is emailed to your Illinois State email address as well as mailed to your local address. Within the newsletter, you will find a listing of academic support services as well as the requirements you must complete if you are placed on academic probation.
