Important Facts to Know
As a student on academic probation, you should be aware of the following:
- You must make significant progress toward academic good standing this semester. It is encouraged that you research the University’s policy on academic good standing, academic probation, and academic dismissal. If you submit a Petition for Reinstatement at any time in the future, your progress toward academic good standing will be reviewed and considered as a factor in the committee’s evaluation. More information can be found about the “academic good standing” policy online or in the Undergraduate Catalog.
- Understand the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy which states that you must successfully complete 67% of all courses attempted at Illinois State University to continue to qualify for financial aid. This policy applies only to those students who qualify for financial aid. Contact the Financial Aid Office staff for more information via email or by phone at (309) 438-2231.
