The Office of Enrollment Management and Academic Services will notify various offices about your reinstatement status. If you feel it necessary, it would be wise to contact:

I’ve been reinstated, but I have decided not to return to Illinois State University. What should I do?

You must withdraw from the University by contacting the Student Service and Referral Center (309-438-2188). You are encouraged to contact the SSRC as soon as possible to avoid charges.

I was reinstated for Summer Session and enrolled in summer classes at Illinois State, but my cumulative grade point average is still below a 2.00.  Am I dismissed for Fall?

If you were reinstated in May, that reinstatement stands for summer and fall.  You will not need to apply for reinstatement again, unless your cumulative grade point average is still below a 2.00 at the end of the fall semester.

I know someone who was reinstated last fall and had to participate in some program. Since I am reinstated for this semester, do I have to do that too?

Yes, you are required to participate in Project Success. Project Success is a program designed specifically for students on academic probation.  Participation assists probation students set academic goals, become aware of campus services, understand probationary policies and ultimately return to good academic standing.

If you haven’t already, you will be receiving information about Project Success in the mail. Also, keep on eye on your iCampus Portal and ISU email account for various updates and notices about Project Success from the Office of Enrollment Management and Academic Services.
