Illinois State University no longer uses Social Security numbers to identify students. Upon submitting an application for readmission to Illinois State, you are provided with a University Identification Number (UID) which you can find easily at Welcome2ISU -- a portal for new and former Illinois State students. Welcome2ISU will provide you with information that you need prior to your enrollment at the University. After you register for classes, you can go to the Redbird Card Office, located in the Bone Student Center, and receive a new University ID card.
University policies on repeating courses may have changed since your last enrollment at Illinois State University and could impact your grade point average. Information on the Course Repeat Policy can be found in the current Undergraduate Catalog or from the “Selected Policies” section of the University Registrar’s Web site. Students should discuss course repeats with their academic advisor prior to registration.
Many programs of study at Illinois State University have Supplemental Admission Requirements. Should you wish to change your major, you may need to meet different requirements than when you last enrolled. You should consult your desired department/school Web site, the current Undergraduate Catalog, or the department/school advisor for information on these requirements. Please note that due to competitive admission and program capacity, admission to various areas of study cannot be guaranteed.
The Star+ telephone registration system, the Student Information and Access System (SIAS), and the paper version of the Course Registration Directory are no longer available. You should register using the iCampus Portal. Visit Academic Advisement and Registration Information for more information.
