Enrollment Deposit
The Enrollment Confirmation and Deposit is required of new beginning freshman students in order to confirm their enrollment and guarantee a space in the freshman class.
Once the University receives your Enrollment Confirmation Deposit, additional information will be sent to you regarding your enrollment at Illinois State. The following points in regard to Preview, University Housing Services, and Admission are important to know about finalizing your enrollment at Illinois State.
- Preview – You will be sent an invitation to attend Preview, the two-day summer orientation and registration program held during June and July which is required of all new freshmen. When you receive this information, you are encouraged to submit your online reservation as soon as possible as dates fill up quickly. Read the Preview Web site thoroughly for information about placement exams, parking, programs fees, etc. once you have registered.
- Residence hall application-contract – You are encouraged to submit your residence hall application-contract with the initial payment as soon as possible. By May 15, and only after your housing contract, initial payment, and enrollment deposit are received, you will be mailed detailed instructions in regard to University Housing Services’ Web-based online room selection program. The online program will be available beginning in June and throughout much of the summer. Please feel free to contact University Housing Services at 309-438-8611 or visit their Web site for more information in regard to your residence hall application-contract, initial payment, or the room selection process.
- Final admission documents – As stated in your acceptance letter, you are conditionally admitted to the University until your final high school transcript showing successful completion of your high school coursework is received. You must meet all admission conditions as stated in your letter of acceptance. If you fail to meet these conditions, the University reserves the right to rescind your admission. Contact the Office of Admissions or visit Welcome2ISU to learn more about your admission status.
