As a student who has been dismissed from Illinois State University, you have the opportunity to submit a Petition for Reinstatement. Petitions must be received by the appropriate deadline.
Reinstatement to the University is uncommon. Typically, a reinstated student has suffered an extenuating circumstance which severely impacted their chances for academic success. Currently enrolled students and former Illinois State students follow different procedures for applying for reinstatement. Once you have submitted a Petition for Reinstatement and it has been reviewed by the Reinstatement Committee, it is important to realize that Reinstatement Committee decisions are final.
